In addition to the primary objective of the number crunching exercise for this year’s Sales and Marketing review, we also intended to let the team get out from the routine corporate pressure.

So, we selected one of our upcoming and promising markets of Shillong ( Meghalaya), for its sheer reason scenic beauty which it offers in plenty. This gave the team a fresh perspective and new vigour to look into the volatile market dynamics at a national level.

In addition to the new brand building strategy suggested by Marketing, the Sales team also shared micro level, yet critical best practices with each other. The HR Team also gave a presentation regarding the new policies to be adopted.

After the rigorous brain storming exercise, the team relaxed with drinks and a local market visit to understand the local markets and enjoy shopping.

  • THE JOURNEYA part of the whole, unidentified and in communion;Blissful as ever I was when a part of the great ocean.A part of the greatness, uninhibited in the boundless; No individual aims and ambitions, with-out idiosyncrasies was I. Destiny, they call it, that threw me out of gear, away from the ocean;Just over the mountains and into the open sky. The originality lost, in the wilderness of mountains; And from the indivisible one an individual born I was. Change of state they may say, physically speaking so;Out of the great and into an individual one born I was. Fighting against the greatness of mountains cutting through the hazardous pathsWould make me envy my power and the authority I would command. Unmindful always about the truth under the influence of ego and ego alone;Running down the mountains to meet the origin I find a noisy brook born out of a serene ocean.

6 Benefits of Teamwork in the Workplace

    1. Fosters Creativity and Learning2. Blends Complementary strengths3. Builds trust4. teaches Conflict Resolution skills5. Promotes a Wider sense of ownership6. encourages healthy Risk-taking

PRoMotes A WiDeR sense oF oWneRshiPTeam projects encourage employees to feel proud of their contributions. Tackling obstacles and creating notable work together makes team members feel fulfilled. Working toward achieving company goals allows employees to feel connected to the company. This builds loyalty, leading to a higher level of job satisfaction among employees.

Teamwork is not just helpful for employees. It benefits the employer in the long run as well. Employees that connect directly with their workplace are more likely to stay with the company, while employees leaving their jobs often cite an unsatisfactory salary. Another common complaint is that their contributions do not seem to matter. Teamwork allows people to engage with the company and add to the bigger picture.

enCouRAges heALthy Risk tAkingEmployees working alone on a project would probably not want to stick their necks out for an off-the-wall idea. If the project fails when working solo, that employee takes the full brunt of the blame. While you may not get full credit for a successful team project, working with other people spreads out the responsibility for a failed assignment.Working as a team allows team members to take more risks, as they have the support of the entire group to fall back on in case of failure. Conversely, sharing success as a team is a bonding experience. Once a team succeeds together, their brainstorming sessions will produce revolutionary ideas without hesitation. In many cases, the riskiest idea turns out to be the best idea. Teamwork allows employees the freedom to think outside the box.

There may be no “I” in the team, but teamwork can still benefit employees on a personal level. Do not allow competitive natures to get in the way of personal growth in the workplace. Instead, understand how to resolve conflicts and trust teammates to contribute their best ideas. Learn from your team members and build on each other’s skills to create more impressive results in the workplace.

    H O W LO N G D O E S W H I S K Y K E E P O N C E O P E N E D ?How long does whisky keep? In theory, almost forever. Distilled sprits won’t spoil or make you sick like milk and they won’t turn to vinegar, like beer and wine.

But, in practice, a bottle of whisky doesn’t last forever (if only!). Once a whisky is opened, exposure to light, air, and temperature fluctuations start to change its flavour.

Initially, that can be a good thing. We’ve all had the experience of open-ing a bottle, tasting it right away, and not particularly enjoying its contents – but then, coming back a month later to taste a spirit that feels much more integrated and cohesive on the palate.

But, what about the long term? Eventually, open bottles of whisky will start to oxidise, losing some fragrance and flavour. Some say bottles should be finished within one to two years, while others say up to five years is allright, as long as you follow these recommendations:

Limit light. Your whisky collection might be beautiful enough to display out in the open, but it’ll last longer if you keep it be-

hind a cabinet door. Many whiskeys are packaged in dark glass bot-tles for exactly this reason. If your bottle came in a canister or box, that

could provide another layer of protection.Limit temperature fluctuations. Room tempera-ture is OK, but try not to go hotter. Basements,

root cellars, or even the bottom shelf in your pantry can all be good places to store your whisky (we know, we know – your collection is anything but bottom shelf ).

Limit oxygen. If you’re trying to keep a bot-tle around for a long time, consider invest-

ing in a vacuum sealer, the kind used by bars and restaurants to keep open bottles of wine fresher, longer.

Store bottles upright. Whereas wine should remain in contact with its cork to prevent it from drying out, stronger spirits will

actually eat away at the cork, imparting off flavours to the spirit and potentially ruining the seal.

Lastly, and most importantly, stop saving that half-full bottle of fancy booze for a special moment! Start making your ev-

eryday more special by drinking that stuff, before it starts to lose what makes it fancy in the first place.
