Teaching ResourcesStudent Project Scheme:Teachers: desktop PC, laptop, white board, multimedia projector, Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Students with Encarta premium 2008 DVD, Internet connection.

Students: laptops, desktop PCs, Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft Students with Encarta and , internet connection.

Other Server Resources for the Classroom:Since 2008, teachers and students have been working with Wiki School (e - encyclopedia), Learning about living (LaL), MTN Virtual Educational Platform (VEP), which can easily be accessed through school intranet and internet to catch students attention toward innovative learning.

The above mention platform is a science base subject with mathematics excluded. In order to arouse students’ interest and active participation in mathematics, Microsoft Students Encarta with MS Office (Technomath) were introduced to the students and my noble colleagues by me .All of these platforms and software allows the teacher to work via the intranet and internet in the following way: do the planning, choose a topic, teaches and suggest educational software and then post the topic on the platform, which makes the content accessible to everyone. In many cases, students have a chance to read about the topic the teacher has posted before getting to class. This enables a very rich teacher-student dialog as well as a genuine interchange. The activities are designed digitally as well as analogically, in line with the topic requirements: In the digital format, teachers post them, thus providing students with access anytime and anywhere. After completing a task, students can email it to the teacher who corrects it and then sends back his/her feedback by email with some clarifications that can be useful for the learning process.

Assessment and StandardsWith regard to the project evaluation and standards, it is important to stress Federal Ministry of Education, FCT-Education Secretariat and SchoolNet Nigeria collaboration in providing us with the expert opinion of an advisor, with whom we jointly assess and design an extremely innovative pedagogical path.

Evaluation Area:Teacher: The assessment is made by means of forms which register the contents, activities and software used, with comments on the applications.MS Excel shows and also improves students’ Ability to think and students’ understanding about mathematics formulas. Therefore all mathematics must be documented in MS Excel with additional information in any other MS Office Applications.

Students: The evaluation is conducted through comparisons based on the same topic, students are grouped (Students’ activity) and group evaluation/assignments (students’ work) were carried out in a traditional way versus new technology powered. It is documented with MS Excel 2007, MS OneNote 2007 and MS word 2007.

Community: the assessment is based on the record of communities’ attendance at meetings, the participation level and commitment to the activities create interest on the part of the school authority to continue the project.

Competencies Organization:What we strive for is a true 21st Century classroom for teachers, students and all stakeholders with all the corresponding competencies.
