Dynamic Pricing and QuotationMECOMS™ 2012 empowers utilities to outsmart their competitors with flexible contract pricing and rapid development of innovative products. The system supports fixed and flexible pricing, futures and spot integration and automatic price calculation. It imme-diately calculates the cost-to-serve, margins, risk fees and commissions. This significantly reduces the time to market and the cost of introducing a new product, while increasing the insight in product and customer profitability.

Customer Insight and SegmentationMECOMS™ 2012 greatly improves the business insight into customers and customer segments. Each customer is continuously valuated by scoring events (payment, complaints, loyalty,...). These scores can be used as heuristics in automated processes, such as credit management. Based on these scores, sales people can quickly assess the profitability of

customers and assign them to segments which are to be treated differently. MECOMS™ 2012 ensures that all departments are in sync: it combines all data sources to create a 360° view. Future-proof Smart MeteringRemaining at the cutting edge of smart metering technology is a key goal for MECOMS™ 2012. This release updates the Smart Metering Communication Bus (SMCB) with an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) component that is meter manufacturer-agnos-tic, with generic head-end support. It also contains a framework for direct Smart Metering readings.

All business commands are unified in a single user interface, thereby hiding the complexity of legacy meters and incompatible communication infrastruc-tures. Data storage can be distributed and MECOMS™ 2012 lays the foundation for handling very large volumes of data.

MECOMS™ 2012 brings the value of Smart Metering and Smart Grid into the back-office. It reduces archi-tectural complexity while reducing the knowledge

Flexible Formula BuilderDefine, deploy, optimize. MECOMS™ 2012 provides an intuitive interface to process meter data, using complex, customized formulas. It requires no pro-gramming and provides users with a powerful tool to optimize data processing. A function library provides access to all data and is fully integrated with the SMCB. It can cover different purposes (consumption, estimation, forecasting,...) and has strong trouble-shooting functionalities.
