    Council President Robert A. Maiocco called the Thirteenth Regular Meeting of the Medford CityCouncil to order at 7:00 P.M., at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

    MOTIONS ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS

    13-340-Councillor Lungo-KoehnBe It Resolved that the Mayor and the Medford City Council meet at a Committee of the Whole

    meeting to discuss the possibility of a casino being approved at a location extremely close to theCity of Medford.Be it further resolved that the Medford City Council go on record stating that we are a "surroundingcommunity" because Medford will be negatively impacted.Once Medford is designated a surrounding community, Medford will have to execute a"surrounding community agreement with the developer."Be it further resolved that the Committee of the Whole meeting consists of keeping the City Councilapprised of what the negotiations will include, what mitigation Medford will be seeking, and allowthe City council to give imput and express our concerns to the Mayor.

    13-341-Offered by Councillor CamusoBe It Resolved that the Medford City Council holds a Committee of the Whole meeting to discussreducing the number of taxi owners licenses in the City of Medford.

    13-342-Offered by Councillor Camuso

    Be It Resolved that the DPW gives an update on when the spring street sweeping will take place

    throughout the city.

    13-343-Offered by Councillor PentaBe It Resolved that the issue of mitigation with the state DOT be discussed now as it relates tohow it is going to be determined when the Craddock Bridge is to be reconstructed.

    Additionally, that an on-site committee of the whole with DOT personnel be called for within thenext two weeks to address the road re-configuration as was presented to us on April 2, 2013.

    I respectfully request and recommend that your Honorable Body approve of the followingAmendments to Revised Ordinances entitled, Compensation Plan and Leave Ordinances,Chapter 66, Personnel.

    CITY OF MEDFORDAMENDMENT TO REVISED ORDINANCES

    COMPENSATION PLAN AND LEAVE ORDINANCESCHAPTER 66, PERSONNEL

    BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Medford in Chapter 66 entitled PersonnelArticle II entitled Classification and Compensation Plans Section 66.40 entitled Public SafetyPersonnel is hereby amended as follows:

    Section 1. In subsection 66.40 effective June 30, 2013 add one percent (1.0%) of the presentamount of each step within the grade shown below, to the said present amount of each step andadjust the sum thus obtained to the nearest and highest figure for the following grade: PS-1 PatrolOfficer.

    Section 2. In subsection 66.40 effective January 14, 2014, add one percent (1.0%) of the presentamount of each step within the grade shown below, to the said present amount of each step andadjust the sum thus obtained to the nearest and highest figure for the following grade: PS-1 PatrolOfficer.

    Section 3. In subsection 66.40 effective June 30, 2015, add two percent (2.0%) of the presentamount of each step within the grade shown below, to the said present amount of each step andadjust the sum thus obtained to the nearest and highest figure for the following grade: PS-1 PatrolOfficer.

    Please be advised that under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 268A, Section 23 (b), I have a

    cousin who is a member of this association and will be affected by this award.

    This amendment is requested due to a recently negotiated agreement with The Medford PolicePatrolmens Association.
