Council President Robert A. Maiocco called the Seventeenth Regular Meeting of the Medford CityCouncil to order at 7:00 P.M., at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

You are hereby notified that by order of the Medford City Council, a Public Hearing will be given at the

Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, 85 George P. Hassett Drive, City Hall, Medford, Massachusetts

at 7:00 P.M., on TUESDAY, May 14, 2013 on a petition of Mirra Co. Inc, Six Norino Way, Georgetown, MA.,

General Contractor for Comcast for permission to locate poles, wires and fixtures including the necessary

sustaining and protecting fixtures to be owned and used in common by your petitioners, along and across the

following public way.

Harvard StreetRelocate overhead wires underground on Harvard Street at the

MBTA overpass from utility pole 760 to utility pole 761, Comcast will place 1-4

schedule 40 PVC conduit to eliminate the overhead wires

Wherefore it prays that after due notice and hearing as provided by law, it be granted a location for and

permission to erect and maintain poles and wires together with such sustaining and protecting fixtures as it

may find necessary, said poles to be erected substantially in accordance with the plan filed herewith marked

Also for permission to lay and maintain underground laterals, cables and wires in the above or intersecting

public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as each of said petitionersmay desire for distributing purposes

Upon review of this petition, the Engineering Division finds that the work can proceed forthwithprovided that no City-owned or private utilities or other structures are adversely impacted. Any sidewalk andother city property must be restored to existing or better condition. That is, sidewalk restoration is to bereplacement in-kind: if a concrete panel is disturbed then a new concrete panel must be installed.

Before beginning work the contractor shall notify Dig Safe and shall obtain applicable permits from theEngineering Division. National Grid shall utilize City of Medford regulations and standards for restoration aswell as remove all debris related to its work.
