The close up on photo 20 shows a girl looking confident this would inspire the audience to read more into the magazine. The image 22 is a long shot at a low angle, the use of the low angle makes the ‘kooks’ look like a role model as if someone to look up to.

Colour: the colour used on this magazine reflect the image. The background colour contrasts with the title so it is easier to read. The colour of the background fades at the bottom so ‘alexandra’ stands out., it also makes the page look expensive by the colour looking chrome like. The lack of colour on this magazine could be questioned to be boring and doesn’t stand out however it is different and sticks to a strict colour scheme.

Heading: the heading on this contents page is unique, by the word ‘contents’ not being on one line. it interests the reader, it is also positioned so it looks like alexandras foot is pushing it up. The colour white stands out from the background enabling the reader to see it clearly

Other: the letter v on the contents background, makes the page recognisable to the audience, this letter is displayed on most of their contents pages, the audience instantly recognise it and know its ‘vibe’ The pages are also categorised into genres (e.g. fashion) this feature enables the audience to find the information or headlines they are looking for at ease. The contents page isn't made to look boring by the use of both image and text. The image is eye catching but information is still in tact, the most important thing on a contents page.Image: the long shot

image on this contents page is very effective, because of her striking flirty pose the audience are drawn towards the page especially the male audience. It covers the whole page also giving a border to it. Alexandra fits around the text so the information can be read easily without being scrambled up.

Image: the medium close up image fills up most of the page therefore it focuses the reader of the main headline in the magazine. The style of the persons clothes reflect the

genre of magazine and also their personality, the colour white is known as a cool colour (ice is white) the white coloured clothing also blends in with the white background, there is a contrast between the skin colour and the background resulting in the reader to look at their face instead of elsewhere. The jewellery that the person wears makes them look rich which implies that the magazine is full of rich celebrities that are role models for many people.

Audience: The audience for this contents page would be male and females aged 14+ and have a interest in the music genre which in this case r and b. they may also like the person in the image, attracting them to read the article about him or further into the magazine.

Other: the title ‘contents’ uses a sophisticated text which mirrors the person on the image, their facial hair looks groomed and round similar to the font of the text. The font is also black which contrast with the white background making it stand out. The page numbers are all squashed up, this is a negative feature on the magazine as the reader could struggle to read it. It could be questioned that the contents page looks simple and boring however the overall role of the page is still their, the main role of a contents page is giving the audience information on what's included in the magazine, this contents page does this.
