MEDIA EVALUATION
In the construction of my music video for the track created by artist Dot Rotten
knon as Determination I be!ieve I have considered various factors and im"!emented
said factors into my music video #uite e!!$ Durin% the construction of the music
video I took into account Andre &oodin's music video conventions one convention
ire a!!y took into account as the (th a!! break here it is !ike the artist is
"erformin% and ta!kin% to the audience themse!ves$ I did this by makin% sure the
artists body !an%ua%e and eye !eve! as as if the artist as !ookin% at an audience
member and ta!kin% direct!y to them$ I done this in order to estab!ish a connection and
re!ation beteen the audience and the artist and a!!o the audience to understand the
artist more and the messa%e of music video itse!f$
A!so in the construction of this music video I took into account the %enre of music
hich as %rime and I aimed to set it a"art from other %rime music videos that
"redominant!y sho money) crime and hood$ A!thou%h I did not fu!!y de"art from this
hat I created as a music video shoin% the "ro%ression of a youn% hood boy
invo!ved in crime comin% out of that sty!e of !ife to makin% money throu%h orkin%
in music and %ainin% money the honest ay ith this I sti!! kee" e!ements of %rime in
the music video ithout !ettin% the music video become a stereoty"ica! hood music
video$ *y doin% this I have a!so cha!!en%ed the conventions of the %rime music %enre
as my music video is not centred on crimes that have been committed) makin% money
throu%h dishonest methods or ho dark and +bad, the areas the artist !ives in are$
