What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

production company is called JRS Productions.

We chose this as it contains our initials. J for Jasdeep, R for Rameesha and S for Simran (Gursimran)

Rameesha left the group but we still didn’t change the name.

What does a production company do?

A production company helps create the film it assists in the budgeting, scheduling, scripting and casting.

The company looks over the film from when its just an idea of completion.

The production company is responsible for finding a director and he acting talent that’s required.

The production company is also responsible if anything goes wrong. Like if an actor is injured or the property is damaged.

When the film finish’s there is a specific way of showing the credits:

The previous institutions mentioned distribute a number of high budgeting films.

My film is more towards Warner bro’s as it will be viewed from a wide audience of teens and adults as it is good with developing, designing, advertising and promoting.

What does a distributor do?

A distributor sends films out into the world for the audience to watch

Decide where and when the film will show and they promote the film

They determine how many copies of film to make. Film is previewed to prospective buyer. The film is sent to cinemas before it opens

The cinema shows the movie so people watch it. It is sent back to the distributors and payment is agreed.
