PRODUCT?

IPC media is the UK’s leading magazine. They have over 60 iconic brands. As the UK’s leading consumers magazine they have work engaged with over 26m people. Some of the magazine they have are: Marie Claire, NME, LOOK, InStyle, UNCUT, and many more.

Bauer Media group is Europe's largest publishing group. Bauer media own over 300 brand all over the world as well as radio station, and TV. Some of the magazines they offer to the public are: MOJO, KERRANG, Q, GRAZIA and many more.

WHICH IS BEST SUITED TO YOUR MAGAZINE?

The one that I think is best suited for my magazine is Bauer Media. I think this because Bauer Media is a well-known media enterprise and have over 300 brands. I feel that Bauer Media is more suitable because they already have a good knowledge of rock magazines whiles IPC is not as knowledgeable on music magazine. Therefore they are able to advance my magazine and make it better. This will intern bring a long of viewers interest and sales.

WHERE WOULD YOU EXPECT THIS TO BE SOLD?

I would expect magazine like these to be sold at places like WH Smith, Water Stones, HMV and new agent. Music shops like HMV where a lot of music is sold every day means that those who look at magazine have an idea of what they are looking at. This means a higher chance of people to see it. The magazine can also be sold at Tesco an Asda. Many people go to these two major stores everyday so a broader audience will see this magazine. This means that the magazine is more likely to be notice by the consumers.

IS THERE ANY OPPORTUNITY FOR SYNERGY/CONVERGENCE IN DISTRIBUTING YOUR PRODUCT?

Synergy is when two or more companies come together to release different product simultaneously to help promote one another for instance Skyfall and the Ocean Royal fragrance. Convergence is when technologies and institution come together in order to create something new. There are opportunities for synergy and convergence to happen when distributing my music magazine. For example when in a magazine there are a lot of pages with advertisement . We can have convergence and synergy with products like perfume, clothes , shoes, phone, food etc… there are many opportunities for synergy happen for us both to benefit as they will be notice from audience and we will benefit from them paying us to advertise them.
