Who might our film secure a distribution deal with?
• Nimbus Film, the third largest production company in Denmark, responsible for the production and distribution of Scandinavian productions
OR
• Nordisk Film, the oldest and largest producer and distributer of Scandinavian productions.
• Deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment for theatrical distribution.
It came down to either of these two production and distribution companies from Denmark

Why have we chosen this distributer?
• It is an established distributer, known worldwide, and would be able to attract a larger audience due to it being this.
• Additionally, they have released films into the English-speaking markets, which means that they would know how to attract audiences in these markets.
List of films distributed by Nordisk Film:• A Royal Affair (2012)• Dear Alice (2010)• Antichrist (2009)• Headhunters (2011)

Would we consider our work to be in the style of independent film or would it be produced as party of an industrial model?
• We consider our film as independent for the following reasons:– Colour of opening sequence– No A-grade actors– Skeleton crew of 3 members– Pro-filmic effects at low budget– Overall low/no-budget

What would their strategy in connecting our film to an audience?
• As our production is of a low budget independent type, the marketing strategy for our film would primarily consist of viral marketing, which would create potential word-of-mouth buzz. This would include connecting the audience through social media, similar to the way Paranormal Activity was distributed (i.e. Tweet your screams)
• With the advancements of digital technology, the distributer could attempt to use online web players such as YouTube to connect the audience with our film, through trailers and/or behind-the-scenes footage.

How might our distributer try and exhibit our film?
• As it is an independent movie and will not likely gain a mass audience, the distributer might try and exhibit our film through art house cinema, such as Curzon or Picture House. This would attract a niche audience, though not necessarily the audience that we originally intended to have.
• If we were to distribute it on ourselves, we would resort to using YouTube to gain online popularity, through which we would be able to begin a Kickstarter or IndieGoGo campaign to gain the necessary funding to get it exhibited in cinemas OR onto Video On Demand services, such as Netflix or LoveFilm.
