WHAT IS THE ALTERNATUS NUPTIA EXPERIENCE?
The Alternatus Nuptia experience will be interactive on all kinds of levels with elements to suit Goths, Pagans, Vintage Vixens orthose who want a wedding that is just a little different. Vending and performing at the event will be a world away from brochures being thrust into hands or the ‘hard sell’ sales pitch
Alternatus Nuptia will enable our distinctive group of wedding and entertainment specialists to show visitors exactly what they can do.
We are encouraging them to spend an indulgent time with Brides and Grooms and to provide quality client consultations as part of their offering on the day.
THE WONDERLAND THAT IS ALTERNATUS NUPTIA
The event, based round Alice in Wonderland for this year, is in two parts. Come in the day and come in the evening, come to one, come to either, come to both!
DAYTIME SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
Our eclectic group of wedding and entertainment specialists on hand to demonstrate their products, services and talents.
Mad Hatters Tea Parties, serving alcohol not tea, for those purchasing a VIP ticket hosted by our team of Gothic Lolitas.
A novel take on the fashion show accompanied by music from international artists yet to be seen in the UK.
Fundraising for our nominated charity, Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.
THE CLUB NIGHT
The fundamental ideology of Alternatus Nuptia is unconventionality.
Having talked to vendors, especially entertainers, we found thattheir main frustration when attending traditional wedding shows was the inability to show potential clients what they could do.
Not all brides and grooms are afforded the luxury of seeing the person or group who will entertain their guests in a performance situation before the day of their wedding,
Having taken all of this on board, we decided to create the ClubNight element of Alternatus Nuptia. In a creative, night club, atmosphere bands, burlesque dancers and magicians (to name but a few) will showcase their expertise and artistry.

THE TEAM – FROM ONE TO MANY
Alternatus Nuptia came about in a somewhat curious way.
One of the many hats of Nikki, the event founder, is that of Gothic Fusion Bellydancer. When she was contemplating taking a stand at a local traditional wedding show she sought the opinion of some dance show promoter friends. Instead of being told it was agood or bad idea, it was suggested that she set up her own alternative wedding show. A show that catered for the Goth community who were rarely represented at wedding fairs.
The challenge was set and that’s when Nikki reached out to the ‘Alternative Community’ to put together a team worthy of such an unusual event. A team with the drive, passion and enthusiasm forthe concept of Alternatus Nuptia which had now expanded to include Pagans and Vintage Vixens.
Fast forward to today and the team has become a collaborative community of specialists each bringing their particular perspective to Alternatus Nuptia.
On the next few pages are Bios for just a few of the Alternatus Nuptia Team. There are many that have helped along the way who are not shown here but who are an equally vital part of the event.

There are a variety of opportunities for companies to advertise with or sponsor elements of Alternatus Nuptia.
Vendors and entertainers attending the event will be given a standard entry in the event show guide. However you can increase the impact of your presence by increasing the size of your listing or adding additional images.
