The Mast Head ‘NME’ is big and clearly stands out in the top left hand corner on the page. It uses a bold and young looking theme, which relates to the target audience of the music magazine. It is in a red and white colour which fits in with the colour scheme/house style. The Layout does not really use the rule of thirds apart from the Masthead being in the left hand corner, so it can be visible when it’s on shelves. The cover looks busy and interesting and fun, this will appeal to Dizzee Rascals fans. The footer at the bottom of the page shows the audience what else will be inside the magazine, it gives the impression that there is loads of stuff in the magazine that the audience will want to read. When they see the footer they might see something they want to read this will lead them to buy and read the magazine.

The main image is a long shot of ‘Dizzee Rascal’ (this is easily shown by the caption.) He is looking straight at the camera so this achieves direct address with the readers.
