What have you learnt about technologies from

the process of constructing this product?

For this task I am going to discuss all the technology I have used in the process, including hardware, software a nd any online techonolgy.

Final-Cut Pro• Final-cut pro was an immense part

of our opening and it was vital that we knew everything about it to create the best video we could:

This is the element you will be watching the most and the easiest to explain, this is your video that you are producing. Here is where you watch your opening sequence and view the changes as you edited them.

Using these tools enabled me to change between the blade, cut and

select tool. Which we all used frequently

We entered all clips from our video camera here so we could view them and favourite the ones we were sure on, then we could enter

them into the main sequence.

By looking closely at some of the boxes, we can

visually see what most of them represent. For

example 'T' is meant for text, where we could add credits. The music symbol

and camera symbol represent what they are. These types of elements are quite simple and self-

explanatory. The purple bar is where you added sound effects /

music on top of the clips. This screenshot was during the start process obviously there is a lot

more on there now. On this bar, it enabled us to control sound so we could have it as loud or as quiet as we wanted, we could cut the clips if we wanted another sound to come in / dominate

Here, we were able to add effects, transform, crop, distort and stabilize the

clips within the sequence. This is when we were

making our idents, we used a template from final -cut pro for a start and to get the professional look, we

also added a filter as it was too blue and friendly, this made it link to our genre, there were effects such as

'fish eye' to distort the video which we used in our

opening.

Groups to avoid confusion and different clips to represent

them

Garage Band

Garage Band is something we didn’t include in our opening as we found a better song to fit our theme online but I began to develop some knowledge

on this area.

What instrument we wanted to play, here you can see it visually, there is a guitar. We also had an attempt at the piano.

How long an instrument is playing for was displayed here. We could see it and crop it, this is the most

used area to us on Garage BandThis is where all major editing took place and I only briefly got used to this

part

Group and Equipment Our iMac was where we

accessed absolutely everything. Including the

internet (where everything else was) and most

importantly Final-Cut Pro.

The camera was where all the shots / clips came

from. We uploaded all of the film onto the Mac

where we began to edit.

The tripod was used to enable us to have clear and smooth shots; it keeps the camera in a still position. This enhanced our professional look and made our opening as realistic as possible, without this, the shaking and unnecessary

movement would ruin the sequence.

For all of my coursework, I have got to grips with all sorts of new websites on the internet to enhance my research. These are most of the ones I have used frequently and have started to understand greatly.

Firstly, 'Prezi' is a presentation website and it’s a great way to interact with your audience, it is easy to use and there is lots you can do with it.

Secondly, 'YouTube' is where I have posted my videos, from the Prelim Task, to the Final Task, it’s a great way to view my progress and see how much I have learnt, I have also used a lot of visual examples from YouTube to enhance my research. For example, I added TEXT annotations so you could visually see my analysis as watching the video, this so it all comes together

and any questions were answered.Thirdly, 'PowerPoint Online' is what I have used for this task. It gives you an opportunity to be informative but to present it

wisely, avoiding boredom.Fourthly, 'SlideShare' is used to upload certain documents onto my journal, for example this powerpoint will go through

slideshare to then make an apperance on my journal.

Up fifth, is 'word document', it is basically writing in an essay style, some would argue its just the same as posting a entry on Mahara, however, this shows I have used lots

of different documents to enhance the entertainment.Sixth, is 'Internet Explorer' I also used 'Google Chrome' if either was down. They are to get to all these other elements, and to get these pictures I am currently posting.Seventh, is 'One Drive' where I posted images so they could go on my journal. Also,

this is how I am accessing PowerPoint online. Lastly, 'Mahara' is where all my entries are going to be submitted and is a great way to show progression as its all together in one journal and posts in order, I will definitely

be using Mahara to post my work is the load is a lot.

I have used other methods to present my work such a 'storyboard that' (etc)

but only used it briefly
