KABUL - The New Zealand spy service has affirmed its commitment to supporting an investigation into certain events unfolding in Afghani-stan.On Friday, according to the Blog Today, the Inspector-General unveiled a work pro-gramme for 2018-19, includ-ing the Afghanistan-related inquiry.Director-General of Security Rebecca Kitteridge said the NZSIS would back the in-quiry into Operation Burn-ham, announced by the attor-ney-general on April 11.

TALOQAN - Two border police personnel have been killed and six others captured alive by Taliban militants in the Dashti Kala district of northeastern Takhar province, an official on Saturday.Abdul Qayyum Qane, the dis-trict’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban insurgents stormed the Aye-Khanum port late on Fri-day night.He said during the overnight attack two border policemen were killed, three wounded and six others captured by the militants. The attackers also torched some vehicles of secu-rity officials, he said.Meanwhile, resident Abdul Jabbar expressed his deep concern over the instability of area.
