• Compounders not registered as outsourcing facilities

• Only exempt from certain aspects of 503B

• Still must meet all applicable conditions of the FDCA

register as an outsourcing facility

• Must compound in compliance with CGMP or under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a registered facility

• Must also report information to the FDA about compounded drugs such as source of ingredients

• Must adhere to new quality standards

•Completion of Medication Reconciliation, if applicable

•Physician order to accompany all administered meds

•Use of unapproved abbreviations

• Continued use of AM/PM rather than 2400

• Documentation of allergies, but no documentation of sensitivities
