An Industry Leading MRO FacilityStandardAero’s Houston, Texas facility is one of North America’s most capable corporate jet services facilities. For over 40 years, the Houston operation has served both the domestic and international corporate aviation community. StandardAero’s satellite facility at nearby Hobby Airport, provides convenience to our customers in Texas and beyond. With over 100 employees at your service, we can perform virtually any maintenance event – scheduled or unscheduled.
We Are An Authorized Service Center For:
Houston (IAH) Facility
In addition to the aircraft covered under our service center agreements, StandardAero also services Learjets, Challengers, Hawkers, Gulfstreams, Astras, Westwinds and Cessna Citations. The facility consists of three hangar bays, an engine shop with test facilities, office spaces, and an on-site FBO.

Michael Mandelski
Director of Operations, Engine

Michael has been with StandardAero for over 23 years, bringing a breadth and depth of experience gained from roles that have included engine mechanic, inspection, turbine shop crew chief for 14 years, and most recently parts planning and production control.
Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, possesses an A&P certificate, as well as certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
Chris McNamara
Director of Operations, Airframe

Chris has been in the business aviation industry for over 40 years, with 33+ years of that with StandardAero. Chris started as a Falcon mechanic, eventually becoming the lead and crew chief for a combined 24 years. Chris was most recently the Hawker/Challenger crew chief.
Prior to StandardAero, Chris was with Atlantic Aviation and over the years has been an A&P mechanic, lead, crew chief, and interim airframe operations director.

Pete VanDolzer
Vice President, General Manager

Pete has been in the aviation business for over 41 years, starting as a mechanic with Dallas Airmotive, working on PT6 engines.
Pete has a wealth of knowledge on TFE331 and TFE731 engines, progressing from mechanic, to night shift team lead, mainte-nance supervisor, crew chief, engine shop manager, airframe manager, and director of operations (engine). Pete holds an A&P certificate and has been through training in Japan for lean manufacturing.
HOBBY OPERATIONS
Bleu Stalder
Crew Chief - Hobby
Bleu has been with StandardAero for almost 12 years and is comfortable and confident working on all manner of aircraft and systems.
Bleu has been in the aviation industry for over 25 years working at companies such as Bombardier Completions Center and Raytheon Service Center, holding progressive roles including mechanic, lead, field service representative, and crew chief. Bleu has been the MST crew chief for the last two years and at Hobby for the last 5 years. He is inspection authorized and has his A&P and private pilot’s license.
Joseph Moore
Operations Manager

Joe has been with StandardAero for over 5 years, after relocating to Houston, TX. He is the operations manager for StandardAero’s Houston mobile service group located at the satellite repair station at Hobby Airport.
Prior to moving to Texas, Joe worked for Pratt & Whitney Engine Services for 15 years. While there, he held positions as a detail inspector, test cell technician, disassembler/assembler, and quality coordinator/supervisor for the PT6A, JT15D, PW300, and PW500 engine lines. He has a BS in aviation maintenance management and holds an A&P certificate.

Greg has been with StandardAero for almost 5 years. Prior toStandardAero he worked with regional airlines for 15 years, has been a quality manager, general manager, and director of operations for a repair station, and also spent 7 years at Honeywell as a build mechanic and inspector.
Greg also spent 10 years in the US Air Force as a jet engine mechanic and holds an A&P certificate.
Don Switalski

Don has been with StandardAero for over 42 years. He has progressed through a number of varied roles over the years, including: stock clerk, expeditor, material planner, repair and overhaul administrator, and invoice administrator. Don has been in his customer project manager role for over 21 years.

Ian Cutri
Lead Technician, 2nd Shift
Ian started his career in the AirForce as a F-16 crew chief. He received his airframe and
powerplant certifications from Middle Georgia State University’s School of Aviation. He transitioned his career into business aviation with Consolidated Turbine Support as a field service technician. When Consolidated Turbine Support was acquired by Dallas Airmotive in 2012 he continued to expanded his role. Ian joined StandardAero in 2015 as a engine shop technician overhauling TFE731 engines. He has been the 2nd shift engine shop lead since 2018.
Eric Claiborne
Crew Chief, 3rd Shift
Eric has been with StandardAero for 12 years. Starting off as an A&P mechanic, progressing to
lead, and crew chief.
Eric is highly trained on TFE731 engine, and as the 3rd shift crew chief, is responsible for ensuring high priority jobs are worked efficiently and accurately.
Our goal is to reduce the complexity of owning and operating an aircraft by providing you with a single source
for all your MRO and other service needs.
Eric Vanetten
Crew Chief, Quality
Eric has been with StandardAero for almost 33 years. Eric started as an A&P mechanic, moving
into inspection 3 years later. Eric was later promoted to lead and has been the inspector for engines for the last 4 years.
He is fully qualified on the entire line of TFE731 and TFE331 engines, including NDT and is also fully logbook qualified.
Robert Hughes
Crew Chief, Balance Lab
Robert has been with StandardAero for over 23 years and has been in the industry for almost
30 years. Robert started with Dyne Air Fueling Services as a fueler/supervisor, and did a short stint working with automotive transmissions before returning to aviation.
While at StandardAero, Robert’s roles have included fuel inventory, aircraft cleaning, aircraft towing, pre-flight prep and customer service; he has been a crew chief for over 15 years, specializing in the balance lab for the last 6 years. Robert holds an A&P certificate.
Jorge Quiroga
Crew Chief, Tear Down & Build 1st Shift
Jorge has been with StandardAero for almost 23 years. Jorge started his career with StandardAero
as an A&P mechanic, progressing to senior technician. Jorge moved into his current role as crew chief in 2011.
Jorge is highly experienced with CFE738, TFE731 (all genera-tions), HTF7000, as well as trained on PW308.
Kyle Mills
Crew Cheif, Test Cell & TFE731 1st Shift
Kyle has been with StandardAero for over 14 years, having transferred to IAH from LAX in last
year, where he is crew chief of test cell for TFE731 and TFE738, classic and new generation.
Kyle’s roles with StandardAero include: tool crib attendant, A&P mechanic on TFE731, inspection on TFE331/731, test cell operator, and then transitioning to crew chief where he ran the TFE738 and TFE731 shop, testing all engine models.

Mike Sanchez
Senior Quality Manager
Mike started his career over 25 years ago as a airline mechanic. He has demonstrated success
in applying quality systems methodology to maintain a high quality and reliability in aircraft maintenance. He has held posi-tions from chief inspector to executive manager over PART 121, 135 and 145 operations. Mike holds an A&P certificate, FCC license, FAA Inspection Authority and a MBA degree.
Ernie Simons
Customer Project Manager – Airframe/Avionics

Ernie joined StandardAero in June 2019 and he brings years of aviation experience to his new role. Ernie started his aviation career as a crew chief in the United States Air Force in 1990. During his 24-year career in the Air Force, he worked on C-5s, C-141s, C-17s and C-130s. Other positions he has held include technician and project manager for Dassault Falcon Jet.
Tom Kornegay
Crew Chief, Avionics
Tom has been with StandardAero for 6 years, bringing with him over 30 years of business
aviation experience in avionics in roles including: installer, technician, and avionics lead as well as 16 years as a crew chief running operations for aviation, electrical, and install. Tom is experienced in all major airframes.
Prior to his career in the industry, Tom served in the US Army for 6 years, performing aircraft, electrician, and avionics work. Tom holds an A&P certificate and FCC license, and received his Aircraft Electrician Diploma from the US Army Aviation Logistics School.
Nik Ludwig
Crew Chief, Lear
Nik has been in the aviation industry working with Lears for over 25 years, with the majority
of that time at Bombardier. He served there as a production lead and factory service center lead and then 10 years as a Lear technical instructor.
Nik holds an A&P certificate and received an Associates of Science in Aviation Maintenance from Southern Illinois University. Nik also holds a private pilot license.
Pat Retzlaff
Customer Project Manager – Airframe/Avionics

Pat joined StandardAero in 2019 and has a wealth of experi-ence. He started his career in the US Air Force as a hydraulic technician, during his 13 years in the Air Force he worked in phase dock, flight line, and back shop on a variety aircraft. Other positions he has held include landing gear technician, assistant project manager, customer project supervisor and manager. Pat holds a BS in Project Management, an MBA, and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Gunnar Heiland
Crew Chief, Falcon/ Hawker/ Challenger
Gunnar has been with StandardAero for almost 15 years. Gunnar started his career as aircraft
maintenance technician on B-737 for Lufthansa in Germany. He also held the position of engine technician on the BR 710 engine for Rolls Royce Germany. After relocating to the United States he expanded his experience on several business aircraft and engines.
Gunnar holds an A&P certificate as well as an Associates degree as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician from Lufthansa.
Brian McMillan
Crew Chief, Mods / Paint / Interior / Sheet Metal
Brian has over 40 years in the aviation industry, with the last 32 of those at StandardAero. Brian
started his career with StandardAero at SPI as an A&P sheet metal technician where he worked for 18 years. He moved to Arnoni Aviation in Houston as an airframe sheet metal manager for 4 years and later served as the airframe interior/exterior/avionics/sheet metal/mods/manager for West Star.
Brian holds an A&P certificate and is retired from the US Air Force and Air National Guard.
Shane McKenney
Crew Chief, Quality
Shane has been with StandardAero for almost 5 years as our airframe inspector crew chief.
Shane started out in the US Air Force where he was a maintenance technician on F16s for 10 years, after which he was a chief inspector for Part 135 for 16 years. Shane holds an A&P certifi-cate, is inspection authorized, and a Designated Airworthiness Representative (FSDO) (DAR-T).
