OhioHealth Multidisciplinary Robotic Surgery Symposium
conference description This activity will update Primary Care Physicians, Surgeons, and other Specialists on the evolving role of robotic surgery across disciplines and the expanding conditions that can be treated with minimally-invasive robotic surgery. In addition, a live streamed surgery with interactive commentary will demonstrate robotic surgery in action as an example of the benefits of robotic technology.
objectives After participating in this activity, attendees should be more confident in their ability to: 1. Identify the comprehensive nature of procedures that can be performed
robotically allowing them to share robotic surgery options and benefits such as shorter hospital stays, quicker recoveries, less blood loss and fewer complications with their own patients who require surgery.
2. Advise patients on the potential benefits of minimally-invasive robotic surgery as compared with other treatment options.
3. Recognize the future evolving role of robotic surgery across surgical disciplines.
