Enrich and strengthen their family life; and
Foster better parent-child understanding and
relationship

Life Skills;
Skills to build healthy relationships with their peers
and family; and
Positive values and attitudes towards family,
relationships and life in general

Moving Forward …
30
From 1 April 2013, Ministry of Social and Family
Development (MSF) is initiating Family Matters!, a
movement to give a greater push to family life
education and promotion efforts within the family, in
school, in the community and at work.
FamilyMatters! seeks to nurture a pro-family mindset
and help Singaporeans equip themselves with skills
and knowledge that will enhance the quality of their
family life.
31
CHIJ St Nicholas Girls School, in partnership with
Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF),
presents Family Matters @ School.
With Family Matters @ School, parents are informed,
equipped and empowered to build stronger families.
They would then be in a better position to instil
positive values in their children and guide them to
develop positive mind-sets towards life.
