Self-Photo at 21This is a mirror-image self-photo of me at age 21. It called really be called a “selfie” because that term did not yet exist

The picture on the wall over my shoulder is a copy of MC Escher’s “Self-Portrait.”

At my youngest brother’s wedding

This is a picture of me when I was at my youngest brother’s wedding in the Spring of 2012.

(My youngest brother is named Matthew.)

My youngest brother and his family.

This is a picture of my youngest brother (Matthew), his wife (Carolyn), and their little girl (Elizabeth).

The picture was taken in May of 2013.

A more recent picture of my brother and niece

Elizabeth is almost two in this picture.

My sister after winning the “S’mores Contest” at the family BBQ.

This is a picture of my sister (Rebecca). She is the youngest of my siblings.

The picture was taken in May of 2013.

The “S’mores Contest” isn’t who can eat the most or eat the fastest or anything like that…actually, the competition is about making others fail at making an edible s’mores. The winner is the one who manages to eat, in a single bite, the most messed-up s’mores. Her marshmallow was actually dripping apart as she got it from the toasting stick to the graham crackers and ate it.

Sorry—the family “S’mores Contest” is one of those things that is difficult to explain, but easy to understand by experiencing.

My family in Grand Junction, Colorado.

This is a picture of my younger brother (Andrew), my grandmother (Gammy), and my mother—from left to right.

They represent the generations of my family. This is because they were born in 1980, 1920, and 1950 (from left to right).

They are in Grand Junction, Colorado

At sunset…

Buffalo, New York(that is his full “legal” name…because, well, why not?)

We adopted Buffalo in Spokane. He hated moving across the country. But he loves sitting on my shoulder.

Creede, Colorado (his full “legal” name…again, because why not?)

Born in April 2014

As a kitten, Creede loved taking laundry-basket naps. And he loved hanging out with his big brother.
