FOREWORD

Once again, on behalf of the Board, I am pleased to declare the results of the Science, Commerce and Vocational Streams of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examinations that was scheduled from 03-03-2016 to 28-03-2016. The hard work of the Officers and Staff of MBOSE with the active participation of the Lecturers, Assistant Lecturers of different institutions has paid off. The Board could process the results in a time bound manner. This would facilitate students to pursue higher level of learning in the various institutions across the country. I congratulate all concerned for prioritizing the goal and maintaining the schedule as before. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Deputy Commissioners of all the Districts of Meghalaya for providing their Magistrates for the collection and distribution of the confidential Materials and also ensuring that the atmosphere is conducive in the districts for the smooth conduct of the Examinations. My gratitude also goes out to the Superintendent of Police of all the Districts for providing the security personnel right from collection/distribution of materials and also to MBOSE personnel and at various examination Centres for ensuring smooth and fair conduct of examination with utmost confidentiality and security.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes out to all the designated functionaries (Observers, Supervising Officers, the Centre Officer-in-Charge, the Invigilators, the Custodian’s of the Deposit Centres, Paper Setters, Moderators, Head Examiners, Examiners etc.) for their sincerity, integrity and the dedication displayed by them in their tasks. MBOSE is continuously striving to make itself a vibrant and student-friendly body to ensure transparency in its functioning, to impart quality education, to improvise the multi-faceted aspects of education, to confront the growing challenges of education, to bring about holistic development among students, to evolve into a body that is empowered to conform to the emerging needs of education will always be our goal. The Board is grateful for the continuous support and guidance accorded by the State Education Department, Govt. of Meghalaya during the entire process of examination. It was indeed a great source of immense help to the Board. Finally, the Board would like to convey its best wishes to all the successful candidates and urge them to work hard to soar higher and achieve greater goals. It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that, in order to ensure transparency and accountability, the Board will continue the system of Re-evaluation of Answer Scripts of the SSLC/HSSLC Examinations. A photocopy of the Answer Script(s) will be given on request along with a prescribed fee. In the light of this provision, the following points may kindly be noted for information and necessary action. 1. A period of 20 (twenty) days after the declaration of results will be given to candidates to apply for a photocopy and Re-evaluation of Answer Script(s). On the expiry of this period, applications shall not be entertained. 2. An application for Re-evaluation will be entertained only after the candidate has first obtained the photocopy of the Answer Script(s). On application, a photocopy of the Answer Script(s) with marks will be provided to a candidate and thereafter a window period of 3 (three) days will be given to apply for Re-evaluation, if so desire. However, while giving the photocopy of the Answer Script(s), names of the Head Examiner, Examiner and Scrutiniser which appear on the scripts will be concealed. 3. A candidate who desires to get a photocopy of the Answer Script(s) shall have to sign an undertaking with a pledge to maintain utmost confidentiality. Under no circumstances will the candidate reveal the photocopy to the press or take any action with malafide intentions of maligning the Board. Any violation of the undertaking will render the result of the candidate null and void and the examination of the candidate will be liable to be cancelled. The rates for obtaining a photocopy and for Re-evaluation are as follows: (a) Photocopy of Answer Scripts - Rs. 500.00 per subject. (b) Re-evaluation of Answer Scripts - Rs. 1000.00 per subject. Further, irrespective of the changes in marks which may likely to affect the First Ten Candidates in the Merit List and the Highest Marks declared in the Final Result, the First Ten Candidates in the Merit List and Highest Marks declared by the Board shall stand as announced during declaration of the results.

MARKSHEETS and CERTIFICATES of the HSSLC Examination, 2016 (Science, Commerce

and Vocational Streams) for the candidates of their respective institutions from the offices

shown below after 1 (one) week from the date of declaration of the results:

1) Higher Secondary Schools/Colleges in Office of the MBOSE, East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, Shillong. South West Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills, West Jaintia Hills and Ri-Bhoi Districts. 2) Higher Secondary Schools/Colleges in Office of the MBOSE, East Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, North Garo Tura. Hills, South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills Districts. Candidates will collect their Original Marksheets and Certificates from the Office of

the Principals of their respective institutions.

It is notified for information of all concerned that the last dates for submission of fees

and forms by the Heads of the Institutions/Officer-in-charge of the centres to the Board for

the HSSLC Examination, 2016 will be as follows :

1. Regular & Private Candidates: 25th November, 2016.

2. Non-Regular/Compartmental/Improvement: 15th September, 2016.

The last date for submission of fees and forms etc., by all categories of candidates

(1) and category (2) to the Institutions / Centres will be fixed by the Heads of the

Institutions/ Officer-in-Charge of the centres as per their convenience so as to enable them

to complete the compilation and submission of all the documents within the stipulated time

as mentioned above.

It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that the earlier practiced of selling Result Books of HSSLC and SSLC Examinations has been discontinued with effect from 2014. However, free copies of the Result Books shall be made available to all the Heads of the Affiliated Institutions/Officers-in-Charge of the MBOSE HSSLC and SSLC Examinations, 2016 and they are required to collect the same from MBOSE Office, Tura/Shillong/Jowai MBOSE Cell after the declaration of the result.
