Meir Panim: Dedicated to Helping Children

The organization known as American Friends of Meir Panim is dedicated to helping alleviate poverty within the country of Israel. Through social programs and food services they have been able to help thousands of people in need. However, one of the organization’s biggest concerns is the growing number of impoverished children. Meir Panim understands that children cannot be expected to perform well in school without being fed; their goal is to feed the 756,900 children currently living below the poverty line.

Meir Panim: Meals for Children

The American Friends of Meir Panim is an organization dedicated to relieving poverty within the country of Israel. Due to the poverty crisis currently afflicting 22% of the population, many families live below the poverty line and cannot afford to feed themselves or their children. Meir Panim’s Meals for Children program is designed to ensure that these poverty-stricken children receive at least one hot meal a day in order to ensure the quality of their overall health.

Meir Panim: A Relaxing Atmosphere

All of Meir Panim’s free restaurants have a relaxing atmosphere where patrons can come and enjoy some aspect of their normal life again. Since many of these free restaurants are people's main source for a hot and nutritious meal, they get used to seeing the same faces time and time again. Meir Panim understands that a sort of camaraderie develops between the patrons that make them feel welcome and more comfortable.
