Melag Steriliser Warranty Terms & Conditions (October 2014) All Models of MELAG sterilisers sold in Australia are supplied with a 2 year Warranty from Device Technologies Australia.
The following Conditions apply:- · The steriliser MUST be installed by a MELAG authorised service company as approved by Ian Hopkins, the Technical Manager of Melag for Device Technologies Australia.
(You can find a detailed list of authorised MELAG Service Companies in your State on our website - www.briggatemedical.com - look in the ‘Service Dept’ section at the top of the home page.) · The customer must ensure that the INSTALLING SERVICE AGENT completes the on-line MELAG warranty registration with full details for warranty to be activated. · The warranty period is 2 years or 2,000 cycles - whichever comes first. · Any repairs under warranty are to be done by Accredited Service agents only - please refer to list on our website. · The customer MUST have a 12 month maintenance performed by an accredited service agent for the second year of the warranty to apply. · Consumable items such as door gaskets, HEPA filters, drain line protection filters, printer ribbons & paper are NOT WARRANTY ITEMS unless there is a drastic early failure of these components. Device Technologies Australia will assess and determine any and all warranty claims. · If the approved service company determines that a fault is due to operator error, then this is not covered by warranty. · Failure of essential services such as water & power to the unit are not covered under warranty. · Travel costs in excess of one hour are not covered by warranty & this also applies to freight costs.
