Step 1 - Select Product
Facia brackets are fixed to the rafter and are hiddenbehind the facia itself, revealing only the eye-bolt to
which the sail is attached.
Roof brackets are fixed to the A-frame in a regularAustralian roof truss. Dektite flashing is used to
protect your roof from leaks.
Australia is exposed to some of the highest levels of UV in
the world. Savannah shade sails protect your home from UV
exposure while providing a safe and cool environment to
entertain guests or allow children to play outside. We have
a fantastic range of styles and colours, all designed with the
harsh Australian climate in mind.
Depending on which product you select, your installation
will include at least four anchoring points. Roof brackets and
facia brackets are attached to your house at different heights,
while galvanised steel posts are anchored in the ground using
a concrete foundation. Sails are attached to each anchoring
point using a stainless steel turnbuckle.

Shade sails are fabricated to the exact measurementsrequired for your installation, ensuring that thelargest possible area of shade is provided.
Posts come in two heights, which are used to create
a twist effect in the sail by anchoring diagonallyopposite corners of the sail at the same height.
In an installation where roof and facia brackets are used, 3.5 metreposts are installed diagonally opposite from roof brackets, while 2.5metre posts are installed opposite the facia brackets.
Anchoring points are installed at different heights to create
a twist in the sail once tension is applied. If four posts are
used, each pair of diagonally opposite posts are the same
height. If a roof and facia bracket are used the roof bracket,
which sits higher up than the facia bracket, is installed diago-
nally opposite from the taller post to create the same effect.
Creating a twist in the sail improves shower resistance by
allowing water to run off the sail, while also creating the
sleek look that makes a Savannah shade sail so iconic. When
multiple sails are used, the central posts feature two anchor-
ing points set at 2.5m and 3.5m so that the sails provide as
much coverage as possible.

Designed for Australian homesWe understand the importance of style, which is why we

Commercial-grade shade cloth providessuperior UV protection and reduces the
effects of stretching and tearing
Shade protection that lastsTo ensure the longest possible life for your shade sail,
we use exclusively commercial-grade cloth and non-UV
degrading thread. The shade cloth offers 93-98% UV
protection and comes with a 10-year UV warranty.
The hidden tension webbing in the hem is designed to
withstand the stress caused by wind pressure over the
lifetime of the sail. 316 marine grade stainless steel
fixtures and fittings are used instead of cheaper
alternatives, to minimise deterioration and eliminate
the risk of erosion.
All our posts and brackets are produced from
galvanised steel to prevent corrosion caused byrising moisture, even when a powder coated
finish is selected. In combination, these
features effectively double the lifetime of
each product in our range.

Step 1: On-site inspection
One of our design consultants will visit your home to discuss your plans and confirm the details of
your installation, including material and colour choices. We also inspect the structure of your house to
ensure the installation will be problem free.
Step 2: Post and bracket installation
During our second visit all posts and brackets are installed so that we can take precise measurements for
the fabrication of your sail. This process also allows the concrete used to install your posts to set properly
before tension is applied.
Step 3: Sail fabrication and installation
Your sail is then custom-fabricated and installed during a final visit. Our installation process isdesigned to ensure a perfect fit, eliminating the need to use long chains to extend the corners of
each sail and maximising the shade provided by your sail.
