1 2Tear two square pieces ofnewsprint from an old book, oneat approximately 1 & ½ inch andthe other at 2 inch in size. Usethe 1/8” hole punch on aCrop-A-Dile™ eyelet and snappunch tool to add a hole a ¼”from top of papers.

Place a 1/8” antiquedcopper eyelet through thehole in paper.

3 4Adjust the cube settings onthe Crop-A-Dile to coordinatewith the eyelet size. Insert thepeg side of the tool throughthe eyelet and paper.

Squeeze firmly with the toolto lock the eyelet into place.

5 6Place Melting Pot on anon-stick craft sheet. Level theback with lid. Turn to theUTEE setting. Use a spoon topour clear UTEE inside thecenter of Melting Pot. Allow tomelt and add more until youhave approximately the samesize of paper.

Use Chain Nose Pliers tocarefully place the paperover the melted UTEE. Usepliers to push down on paperuntil back is completelycovered with UTEE.

7 8Use a spoon to pour UTEEover the paper, completelycovering the surface. If thereare bare sections along theedges, add a small amountand allow to re-melt.

Use Chain Nose Pliers tocarefully grip the top rightcorner of paper. Hold paperupright to allow excessUTEE to drip off of corner.

9 10Gently place paper onto theclean non-stick craft sheetbeside Melting Pot to cool.Avoid handling for a minuteto prevent fingerprints. Paperwill have a completelytransparent appearanceallowing text to show throughfrom other side.

Once paper has hardened, use a Metal Awl to carefully clear the eyelet hole of UTEE. You mayuse your fingers to break off smallsections from corners or edges ifdrops of UTEE are visible. Repeatsteps 2-10 to make a total of twopaper embellishments.

11 12 Slide paper embellishments onto a 10mm jump ring in between a layer of natural brass & arte metal distressedand patina’d pieces.

Use two Chain Nose Pliersto close and secure jumpring to complete youraltered journal stylependant.
