I echo Paul's words in Romans 1:8 and thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all. Your prayer, moral and monetary support is invaluable in our efforts to serve our Lord here in Japan. Thank you!

Again, the Lord gave us a wonderful summer of camp ministry. Both the children's camp and the MK camp were great opportunities to proclaim the Gospel to those who had never heard and also reinforce the faith of those who had made a previous profession of faith in Christ.

In addition to our normal church services (CBC & NIBC), ladies' Bible studies, discipleship classes, outreach ministries, committee meetings, etc., December is a great time for special ministry opportunities.

December 7, we have a Friend party scheduled (a party we have periodically for church members to invite their friends to an evening of conversation, games, crafts and food in order to get to know them, so we can develop a relationship in anticipation of having the opportunity of sharing the Gospel with them).

December 15, we will have our annual Children's Christmas meeting. Since Bekah, our co-worker responsible for our children's ministry, is presently on furlough, I have invited a pastor and his wife who live about 45 minutes from us and have a puppet ministry to present their Christmas puppet show during our Children's Christmas meeting. The pastor's wife is presently battling cancer but said she lives for opportunities to serve the Lord in such a way. Please pray for the Fujisawa family.

December 22 will be our Christmas service. The ladies started practicing their Christmas special music this past Sunday, so they should sound very good by the time of our Christmas service.

Our outreach committee has expressed interest in expanding our outreach ministry into some area senior facilities since there are quite a few in our area and a new one is being constructed quite near us.

Upcoming Events

Normal & Special

² National pastor to work with and eventually assume the ministry here so we can establish a sister church in a neighboring ward.

² Direction for church and the lay leadership as we teach and turn more and more responsibility over to them.

² Salvation of several church members' relatives.

² Aging parents of several members (the father of our longest-attending member knows the Lord but is in declining health and will likely be with Him before year's end).

² New outreach opportunities

² Co-worker Bekah as she finishes up her furlough and is scheduled to be back with us January 31

² Needed increase in our monthly support
