consider becoming a superintendent. The program includes an optional shadowing and/or mentoring opportunity.

E X E C U T I V E S E A R C H S E RV I C E SSelecting a new superintendent is one of the most important responsibilities a Board of Education undertakes. C.E.S. offers a comprehensive approach to the executive search process for Connecticut’s Boards of Education. The executive search team, made up of education professionals with more than 40

years of combined superintendent experience, combines focus group and online survey responses in the research

phase to defi ne attributes of a successful superintendent. The team reaches out to their extensive network of educators to announce the vacancy, as well as recruit professional and

qualifi ed candidates. The team provides interview coaching and support to the Board during the selection process, and continues to provide additional support through transition of

new leadership in the district. All C.E.S. searches areconfi dential and ethical. Recent clients include Avon, Fishers Island, Killingly, LEARN, Madison, Middletown,

Newington, North Haven, Plainfi eld, Region 18 (Lyme-Old Lyme), Salem, Suffi eld,

Waterbury, and Weston public school districts.
