THE PARKLANDS OF FLOYDS FORK The Parklands of Floyds Fork is one of the largest and most ambitious urban parks in the nation – it encompasses nearly 4,000 acres and features four major parks. All four parks are linked by a world-class trail system tracing Floyds Fork, a classic Kentucky stream. Each park has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a paved or backcountry trail, a dynamic learning experience through our Outdoor Classroom, or a quiet place to discover nature.

A DONOR-SUPPORTED PUBLIC PARK The Parklands receives no tax support, which means we need your help! Each year, we must raise more than $4 million to keep The Parklands of Floyds Fork clean, safe, fun, and beautiful. This is a big goal and your support ensures The Parklands will always be a free and open space for our entire community to enjoy 365 days a year.

Your membership will help to provide our community with free access to nearly 4,000 acres of vast parkland stretching from Shelbyville Road to Bardstown Road along Floyds Fork. ENCOURAGE HEALTHY HABITS The Parklands creates many opportunities for physical activity and outdoor recreation, which have a positive impact on overall health and well-being. SUSTAIN THE ENVIRONMENT Your membership will help to sustain more than 70,000 trees, shrubs, and forbs planted to date, as well as thousands of acres of natural space we work to not only preserve, but enhance each year. Through these efforts we hope to encourage native plant species and wildlife to thrive as well as improve air and water quality.

STIMULATE CURIOSITY As a learning center for all ages, The Parklands Outdoor Classroom hosts tens of thousands of learners each year, from early childhood education to family and adult programming. Hands-on, outdoor learning experiences lead to a deeper understanding of our Kentucky landscape and the creatures that live within it, while also fostering a community of environmental stewards.
