A year after the devastating earthquake hit Sichuan China, different Church groups and NGOs including CARITAS Taiwan immediately responded to the different needs of the people who suffered destructions and traumas.

Throughout the year, CARITAS Taiwan continued to journey with the local people in rebuilding their lives by distributing food, clothes, constructing schools and libraries, etc.

Mr. Paul Liu, a CARITAS staff and the local volunteers, hosted a Memorial Day with the theme, “Immense Hope” to remember the thousands of lives claimed on that unforgettable day and to celebrate hope for those who are left behind.
