Scan your Card Please scan you membership card. ALL participants who fill out
an application to be a member receive a card. It’s a very useful card. With it, you can
eat lunch for a donation of $4, you can use the recreation passes to play Pickleball,
walk the track, use fitness equipment, and many other things. When you don’t scan
your card, it’s as if you haven’t been at the center according to our records. The cen-
ter needs your scans; it creates a story of how much the center is used. Also, by scan-
ning your card, you are saying “Thank You”.
Thank you from the Senior Center Staff.

Volunteer Spotlight: Jackie Schelly Jackie was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. Jackie, her sister, and her
mom used to dress up in fancy dresses to ride in parades in the classic cars her
father collected. Jackie is a good, ol’ farm girl who fed the chickens, carried them
around, and named them all. She graduated from Montana State with her BS in
Social Work, then came to the U of U to earn her Master’s degree. She spent the
next 30 years working with children in the foster care system,
and supervising staff at DWS. After retiring, she went often
to Montana to visit with family and to care for her mother,
who lived to 104! Jackie spends her time at our center play-
ing pinochle, line dancing, doing yoga and karate, and of
course, volunteering! She has been a front desk volunteer for
five years and she enjoys her time here and with the mem-
bers. Jackie wonders if she’ll still be here when she is 104?!
