ClubNews Potter Valley On Saturday December 20th, Po er valley cem-

etery hosted the Wreathes across America program. Due to the storm the shipment with the Wreathes was postponed to another week, but there was s ll a great turn out. During the ceremony each 4-H officer was to place a wreath on a stand to honor all of our veterans. It was with great honor that we paid respect to our vets, by placing a wreath on every single vet that had been buried in our cemetery. A er we finished with paying respect to our vets we had Hot chocolate, Homemade goodies, and mingle. I think this was a great turnout and I hope that 4-H will be apart of lay-ing the wreaths next year!

> At our February club mee ng we started off by play-ing a game, where everybody got a card that had a name of an animal, and what sound it makes and you had to make the sound of that animal to find the same person with the same animal. Then we had two guest speakers, County All Star, Madeline Kline. She talked to us about what a County All Star is and what they do.Gina Vaughn from the Redwood valley 4-H club also talk to us about the, Color me green run! This event will take place on March 28, 2015 at the Hopland field sta on. Then Cooper Johnson had an announcement about 4-H camp. He also had us write down some ide-as of different ac vi es we would like to have at camp. Then we made Valen nes cards to send to a nursing home in Ukiah. And to finish off the mee ng the swine group brought us snacks!

Mendocino Spartan On Monday January 12 the Spartans met for our first mee ng of the year 2015 which was held at our usual loca on, the Mendocino K-8 School. We began our mee ng with the Club's usual business and project re-ports. We also talked about upcoming Presenta on Day and some of our members told us about their experiences with Presenta on Day. Then our guest speaker Julia Ravella, a member of the Fort Bragg 4-H Club gave us an informa ve speech about being and becoming an All Star Program for Teens. It was announced that the Spartans received the "Banner Award" for last year. We were very proud to be recognized for our efforts and will proudly display the banner at every opportunity we get. A erward, the Spartans enjoyed an exci ng game of telephone led by our crea ve and dedicated recrea on leader Jillian Anton which concluded our enjoyable Janu-ary meeting. .
