The OverviewThe practice of DWI law today is far different than it was 15, 10, or even 5 years ago. With the advent of the Intoxilyzer 9000 and the tidal wave of compulsory blood draws, it is clear that not all lawyers are competent to effectively represent a person charged with DWI today. The Kinard Curriculum will help its attendees provide both professional and ethical assistance in the DWI defense arena. It is structured on a building-block philosophy of topics: Each of its topics are strategically intertwined with each other and will serve as a basis for higher learning. The format is arranged for both the novice and advanced DWI practitioner to walk away with silver bullets on Friday so that they can be used the following Monday in the defense of the citizen accused. Without question, the Kinard Program promises to provide invaluable scientific and common-sense insight coupled with trial skills to the participants who attend.

Destination InformationThe seminar will be held at the Menger Hotel, 204 Alamo Plaza, San Anto nio, Texas 78205. A room block has been reserved at the Menger Hotel. Accom modations are $126 per night, single or double occupancy. Please call 210-223-4361 or 800-345-9285 for reservations. Space is limited. Hotel cutoff is October 5, 2019, or until block is full, whichever comes first.

CLE InformationThis program is expected to be accredited for 12.0 CLE hours, including 1.0 hour ethics. Credit for attendance may be utilized toward the CLE requirements for certification and recertification of attorneys in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and towards the total CLE requirements of the State Bar of Texas. Seminar satisfies biennial CLE requirements for continuing NCDD members. Scholarships available from TCDLEI.
