Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City is seeking one to one mentors for each scholar in the program to support our mission and vision of helping boys and young men in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential.
As a BHGH of KC Mentor of HOPE, you can support, guide and encourage a boy to:

OUR MISSION
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City helps academically capable and motivated boys in need to meet their full potential and become men for others
by providing a value centered, family-like home, opportunities and education through college.
There is a place right here in Kansas City where boys in need with high potential live year-round
to focus on their development with emphasis on education. BHGH of KC provides a stable home,
nurturing care and academic scholarship to put our young scholars on course for life, on course for college
and positioned to reach their full potential —not for themselves only, but to change the world.
BHGH of KC is a nonprofit organizationand all contributions are tax deductible.

Sign up today and make a one-year commitment to serve as a mentor!You and your mentee will enjoy face-to-face meeting/activity time for four hours per month and regular communication between get-togethers. Mentor/Mentee relationships will be supported and monitored by BHGH of KC. This will include planned group activities for mentor/mentee matches as well as formal logging of activities completed with your mentee.

through an ongoing, one-on-one relationship• Serving as a positive role model and friend• Building the relationship by planning and
participating in activities together• Building your mentee’s self-esteem and motivation• Helping your mentee to set and work towards
accomplishing goals

There are many ways to connect and share with your mentee including: exporing common interests, hobbies or new interests; community service projects; visiting museums; attending cultural/art/sporting events; job shadowing; school activities; dining out or cooking together; and BHGH of KC celebrations and events.
