This represents 3 weeks of creativity and hard work throughout school. Inspired by expressionist artists and Shakespeare, each class has interpreted the emotions and storyline in their own unique way. Over the weeks, they have got to know the characters and retold different key moments of the play through art and suspense stories, set against the backdrop of London. IMPORTANT NOTICE—We are aware of a poten-tial case (not yet confirmed) of scarlet fever in Y1.

Although scarlet fever is usually a mild illness, it should be treated with antibiotics to minimise the risk of complications and reduce the spread to oth-ers.

The symptoms of scarlet fever include a sore throat, headache, fever, nausea and vomiting. This is followed by a fine red rash which typically first ap-pears on the chest and stomach, rapidly spreading to other parts of the body. On more darkly-pigmented skin, the scarlet rash may be harder to spot, but it should feel like 'sandpaper'. The face can be flushed red but pale around the mouth.

If you think you, or your child, have scarlet fever: See your GP or contact NHS 111 as soon as

possible Make sure that you/your child takes the full

course of any antibiotics prescribed by the doctor.

Stay at home, away from nursery, school or work for at least 24 hours after starting the antibiotic treatment, to avoid spreading the infection. If your child has an underlying con-dition which affects their immune system, you should contact your GP or hospital doctor to discuss whether any additional measures are needed.

Road Safety at Pick Up and Drop Off Time

A reminder to parents/carers who drop off or collect their children by car—please do not wait or park on the ziz-zag lines for the safe-ty of our children. Also, please can you make sure that your child gets out of the car on the pavement side and not into the road. Even when you’re late don’t park at the gate!

Please take extra care when driving near to school as there are many families who will be walking or travelling by scooter or bike on the roads in the area.

Thank you for your help in keeping all our children safe.

Hope you all enjoy the two week break. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 11th April except Nursery chil-dren who return on Tuesday 12th April.
