Timber Frame structures provide the ideal construction choice for architects designing high quality residential developments.
In this instance, working for an established developer, Merronbrook provided the timber structures for five new cottage style residences. Located in the area of Surrey Hills, known for its outstanding natural beauty, the developer needed each house to be designed and built following a sustainable brief.
Acting in this case as a timber frame supplier, our contract was for the supply only of the timber frames for the five, three and four bedroom houses. However, as with all projects, we work closely with our clients to ensure deliveries match with site erection schedules and that everything is in place when needed. As with many of our projects, site access at the initial stages of development was difficult and compounded by the narrowness of the country lane that was used to access the site. Additionally, we had to consider a weight restriction on a bridge that needed to be crossed.
