Dear Parents, Just a reminder that our Mini Sports will be held this term at Amamoor School on Thursday 10th June. Parents will need to arrange transport for their child to and from Amamoor School. Students who catch the bus will also have to organise transport directly to Amamoor. Parents may wish to car pool, please organise this amongst your-selves as no transport from the school to Amamoor or return will be organised. All students are required to attend the sports and to be dressed in full school uniform with appropriate footwear. The day should conclude around 2:30pm. All tuckshop Orders should have been returned to the school by today. Unfortunately, if your order was not received to-day, you will have to provide your own morning tea and lunch as NO LATE orders can be accept-ed after today. Thanks,

Friday the 14th June is School Cleaners Day. Our School Cleaners provide invaluable support to teachers, stu-dents and school staff in the day-to-day operations of schools. School cleaners are often among the unsung heroes of the school community, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank Merv for all the wonderful work he does around our school.
Our school always looks so clean and tidy—
Thanks Merv for doing such a fantastic job.

Students in Years 5/6 would have received a Permission form to attend the Luther Heights Rewards Day at Coolum on Monday 14th June. The Rewards day has been organised by Chappie Jen and is part of a program “Unlimited” that the Year 5/6 students have been involved with. Students will be challenged to a low ropes course at Luther Heights and will travel by bus to and from the venue. Please make sure that all students bring their own morning tea, lunch and a drink bottle. Please return your permission form by the end of this week. Thanks. Thanks.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea will be held next Tuesday 25th May. Our Year 6 students have again been invited to assist with preparation and serving on the day. The venue for the Morning Tea will be the Kandanga Hall. Starting time is 9:30am.
Last Thursday 27 May, we held Reconciliation Day at our school. Dagun School came here and a few volunteers. After everybody had introduced themselves, Russel Bennet performed a song that he didn't want anybody to record or copy because it was his family’s song. We all split up into groups A and Group B. I was in group A. First we did our family tree and then we went with Russel Bennet and he taught us that if we get bitten by an ant we can crush up bottle brush leaves and when they get sticky you put them on your bite. At lunch time Dr Kiah came and gave everyone a big hug. (Dr Kiah was a Kangaroo). We all then had some play time and we played a big game of Red Rover and Line Tiggy. Miss Kylee explained the dream time stories, how the mountains used to move and how the Kangaroos got their tails. After we made bracelets, played with puzzles, made a collage and played with play-dough. Mr Pinni, for sports played 3 different games. My favourite game we played was dodge-ball because I love the game and because my team won. Chappy Jen had been planning this for a long time and I think all the planning was definite-ly worth waiting for because it was so fun. Bella had volunteered to do a speech about Reconciliation Day.
