1.0 OBJECTIVE

The proposal has been prepared to meet the Project Qualit !ssurance Plan of the Main

Contractor for GFRC decorati"e panel Installation

2.0 SCOPE

The scope of this document is to define and establish a #ork method for Installation of

GFRC Panels for “MEMBINA DAN MENYIAPKAN BANGUNAN PUSAT ISLAM SERTA

LAIN-LAIN KERJA BERKAITAN DI UNIVERSITI SAINS ISLAM MALAYSIA, BANDAR

BARU NILAI, NEGERI SEMBILAN DARUL KHUSUS”.

fibres ma all be "aried to produce a specified product% Methods of manufacture "ar. but

sprain( either b hand e/uipment into a form of the shape and composite #ith reinforcin(

element randoml distributed throu(hout the matri-. unlike reinforcin( steel is placed

primaril in tensile stress area%

The potential of usin( (lass fibre reinforced concrete sstems #as reco(ni0ed in Malasia%

The similar product has been used successfull for the construction of the abo"e project and

man other jobs%

In this project the GFRC component is for decorati"e purpose locates surrounds the

buildin(s%

Components #ill be produced under factor condition and transported to site for installation

onto the buildin( structure%

#.0 HANDLING AND STORAGE O MATERIAL

Prior to the mobili0ation of the installation team at site. the follo#in( matters shall be

discussed and coordinated #ith the main contractor%

i% 2n3Site Stora(e for GFRC Panels

Sufficient stora(e space shall be pro"ided to ensure panels stora(e of minimum

$ das4 suppl% The stora(e space shall be sufficientl lar(e enou(h for panels to

be mobili0ed either usin( crane. forklift or manuall b #orkers from one place to

another%

ii% !ccess Road for Panel 'eli"er and Identification Pass

Proper access road shall be planned. discussed and appro"ed for smooth

deli"er and unloadin( of GFRC panels% Good material deli"er shall reduce

con(estion to the access% Schedule of deli"er shall be discussed #ith main

contractor on dail,#eekl basis% Identification pass shall be obtained from main

contractor for permission of entranced to project site. if re/uired%

iii% !ccess to !ll StructureIn area #here installation #orks to be carried out. proper and safe access shall

be pro"ided b the main contractor% The main contractor and the installation

personnel shall ensure that there is no obstruction around the buildin(% This shall

ensure smooth installation operation and reduce idle time% ! plan detailin( the

access areas,#orks areas of crane is to be prepared and cop to the main

contractor%

Inspection shall be called for in the presence of the main contractor4s representati"e on

site% This is to ensure all , part of panels is installed in accordance to dra#in(s and

specifications% The #ork done in full , part shall be handed o"er after the main

contractor4s acceptance in #ritin(%

10.0 SAETY PLAN

&5%& !ll artisans performin( installation #ork shall #ear safet helmet. safet shoes

and safet belts% *#hen #orkin( on temporar supported platforms+

&5%) Proper material handlin( techni/ues shall be practiced in performin( material

hoistin(,loadin(,unloadin( #ith assistants on (round upper, floor assistin( the

machine operator%

installation%&5%$%) Clear unobstructed path if transportation of object is re/uired%&5%$%$ Proper housekeepin( at stora(e and #ork 0one

&5%7 The e/uipment used for panel installation shall be inspected , ser"iced

fre/uentl for #ear and tear% Chain hoist used shall ha"e proper ri((in( method

and hooks used should ha"e safet chip%

&5%1 Scaffoldin( erection , dismantlin( shall be carried out in a proper manner%

Re(ular checks to ensure safe usa(e%

&5%8 Whene"er #eldin( is re/uired. the #elder shall ha"e6&5%8%& Full face #eldin( hood #ith appro"ed 9: filter plate and co"er plate%&5%8%) Safet (lasses under #eldin( hood%
