METYX Composites® Kitting Center
It is the METYX Composites vision to
deliver products and services that en-
able our customers to produce stron-
ger, lighter, and more competitive end-
products. Our new kitting services
help customers to achieve these goals
by working with preassembled kits of
core materials, reinforcements, and/or
vacuum consumables. All the materi-
als in the kits are pre-cut, pre-shaped,
and engineered to fit in a specific
place in the mold. Series production is
greatly enhanced with these custom-
ized, ready-to-use kits.
“ We are excited to add kitting services to our ever-expanding portfolio of offerings. MCKC addresses our customers’
needs by providing innovative kitting solutions in a cost-effective and timely manner.” — Ugur Ustunel, Co-Director, METYX Composites

MCKC Core Material KitsMCKC produces high-performance core material kits for
hand lay-up, light and heavy RTM, compression molding,
and vacuum assisted infusion. The main industries we
service are wind energy, marine, automotive, and other
industrial applications.
Why Use MCKC Core Material Kits?In production environments, engineers always seek ways
to increase output, reduce waste, and improve quality.
Core materials kits are the optimal solution to achieve
these goals with repeatable results.
Our dedicated MCKC team works with the customer to
deliver a customized solution based on the specific re-
quirements of the project. The team delivers CAD data to
support all decisions. The team also creates a bill of ma-
terials using automated nesting programs, which helps to
minimize waste.
Benefits of MCKC Kits• Increase production efficiency
• Improve quality of end-products
• Optimize component accuracy
• Decrease wasted materials

How We Produce MCKC Kits• We use 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines to precisely
mill the core materials to the required geometry.
• We utilize several custom-made machines to help us
deliver high tolerances, excellent quality, and cost
effective material kits.
• Scrim application, perforation, and straight cuts
are some of the kitting operations we automate in
order to offer our customers flexible production, fast
turnarounds times, and cost-efficient production –
all while maintaining excellent quality.
• Each kit component is clearly marked and packed
according to the customer’s production process so
that throughput is maximized for core material nesting.
• A prototype kit is produced before final production.
Type of Materials We ProcessWe kit virtually all industrial foam grades and honeycomb
materials. The most common types are PU, PET, PVC
foams, balsa wood, PP, and other honeycomb materials.
Core Material Finishing Options• Plain Sheets
• Grooved
• Perforated
• Scrim fabric applied
• Single or double contoured
• Various combinations of the above finishing options

Optimizing Production In addition to core material kits, MCKC also produces kits for reinforce-
ments and vacuum consumables. Similar to core material kitting, our
fabric kitting and vacuum consumable kitting operations enable cus-
tomers to increase productivity, minimize waste, and decrease labor.
All fabrics are cut to the exact size, length, and geometry needed for
final processing. They are kitted to optimize production.
This value added service has been provided to METYX Composites
customers throughout Europe since 2011. These customers have
benefitted greatly from increased output in their production lines and
decreased waste.
Cutting-edge MachineryMCKC currently has three CNC fabric cutting lines. Our largest CNC
line is capable of handling fabric widths up to 350 centimeters (138
inches), making it one of the largest CNC machines for fabric cutting in
the composites industry. The advantage of utilizing larger CNC cutters is
that we can process much wider widths of material. Also, the automated
nesting programs in these machines minimize waste by optimizing
nesting in a larger area.

Full Range of FabricsIn our kitting operations, we process carbon, e-glass, aramid and
hybrid reinforcements, in addition to vacuum consumables, including
peel ply, flow mesh, and breather fabric products.
Our reinforcement and vacuum consumable kitting operations comple-
ment our comprehensive range of high-performance textiles in produc-
tion since 2004.
Superior, Customized SolutionsOur highly skilled engineering and technical services teams work with
clients to provide custom, one-stop-shop solutions in technical textiles and
value-added kitting.
