This course will introduce the students to the latest developments across the core functional areas of business management and help them understand the impact that these trends have on countries, societies, organizations, and individuals. Furthermore, the course is also designed to increase awareness of current issues and trends in which businesses, government entities, and NGOs collaborate in order to address social and environmental issues. Ultimately, students will appreciate how the interaction between these emerging forces and business establishments can shape management practices, influence decision-making processes, and address societal challenges. Astute entrepreneurs and savvy executives acknowledge the importance of spotting and acting on emerging trends in order to capture market opportunities, test risks, and spur innovation. This course will introduce the students to the latest developments across the core functional areas of business management and help them understand the impact that these trends have on countries, societies, organizations, and individuals. Furthermore, the course is also designed to increase awareness of current issues and trends in which businesses, government entities, and NGOs collaborate in order to address social and environmental issues. Ultimately, students will appreciate how the interaction between these emerging forces and business establishments can shape management practices, influence decision-making processes, and address societal challenges.
