thing...you have been in my heart every day.

No one has influenced me more, or affected me in such a profound way, more than you and

James Brown... but Our Lord Jesus...

You taught me how to give my ALL for the

crowds...and never stop believing in myself...

Because of you, more than anything, I give my all for the kids. My career and my time is for them...

You showed me the importance of keeping that

little boy spirit ALIVE inside of me...

...and at the same time being the FRONT MAN

that my band and dancers can depend on...

Your essence of love, peace and charity I take with me each and every day...and because of you, I donate as much as I can to worthy causes...

You were the first one I called when James Brown died...and you were there for me at his funeral;

James Brown was YOUR MENTOR TOO...but you knew how much he meant to me and

you were so comforting and consoling...

Today I have lost my friend on earth, my mentor, and my heart is heavy; I don’t know how I will be

able to sing your songs in tribute without crying...

But I will, and I will end each and every performance with the song I wrote for you in 2005,
