Description:It was my job to create web optimised imagery - banners, buttons and infographics - with photography sourced from the extensive media library.

With ‘mobile fi rst’ in mind, we migrated content from the old ‘desktop only’ websites, to the new responsive websites for use on mobile, tablet, PCs and all other devices.

Spacing

Care should be taken to ensure that the logo and accompanying text have room

to breath, by allowing a sufficient amount of space, between and around them.

Correct provision of space between the main logo and text ‘The Didsbury

Players,’ is measured using the T in ‘The’ (see example to left).

To prevent the logo getting misplaced or encroached upon in marketing

material, the correct amount of space to leave blank around the logo is

measured by the D in ‘Didsbury.’ (see example, bottom left).

Alternative Logos

For the logo to have flexibility across different mediums, there are several ways

it can be presented, with variations in colour, layout and size:

Primary LogoHorizontal orientation, with text sitting to the right of the logo.

Secondary LogoWhen poster designs or editorial pieces require a vertically orientated logo, the

secondary ‘sqaure logo’ option can be used.

Logo without textWhere appropriate - when the society’s name has been used many times on a

design already, for example - the logo can be used without the accompanying

text. This version is also useful for poster designs or editorials which simply

require a more vertically orientated logo.

The Didsbury PlayersLogo & Brand Guidelines

Developed in response to the group’s growing popularity.

Description:For the new logo I was asked to refl ect the friendly but formal characteristics of the group in an eye-catching and professional way.

The warm colours and soft curvature evoke a sense of what the group stands for; being open, friendly and fun. The traditional font gives it a formal touch and the use of greys add neutral tones, to install a sense of balance against the livelier elements.

The guidelines establish core elements of the logo and the various ways it can be presented, to allow fl exibility but ensure the brand is not distorted beyond recognition.

Proper positioning of your headset microphone will help recipients to hear your voice clearly during calls. The ideal position is two fingers width from the corner of your mouth, which applies to both voice tube and noise cancelling headsets. Before prolonged use of your new headset, call a colleague and adjust volume settings to ensure you can be heard clearly and consistently.

Microphone positioning

For optimum headset hygiene we recommend that voice tubes and ear cushions are replaced every six months. In the meantime you can use hygiene wipes on your headset to prevent bacteria spreading. You should also regularly wipe your headset cable, to keep it free from grease and dirt. This will prevent it from becoming brittle and causing ‘crackling’ during your calls.
