MicroFunnel Plus filter funnels are the only disposable filterfunnels on the market that can serve as a sample cup and filter funnel in one product. Procedures for MicroFunnel LP Filter Funnel (With Petri Dish Lid Kit)

1. Dispense the contents of an ampoule ofculture medium onto the absorbent pad inthe Petri dish lid kit, supplied only withMicroFunnel LP filter funnel, PN 4810.

2. With Petri dish lid kit removed, perform filtration then access membrane by gentlysqueezing near the top of the funnelcylinder.

3. Remove the membrane filter from the basewith forceps.

4. Place the membrane filter onto the broth-soaked absorbent pad in the Petri dish lid kit.

5. Cover, invert, and incubate.

How to Use the MicroFunnel™ Plus Filter Funnel

1. Carefully remove thevented lid and collectthe sample.

2. Securely snap lid inplace to prevent sampleloss. Transport sample tolaboratory for filtration.

5. Release cylinder frombase by squeezing themidpoint of the cylinder.

6. Remove the membrane,plate the filter, andincubate.

3. Remove membrane ventfrom base, place funneldirectly onto manifold,and filter the sample.

4. Gently grasp funnel thenremove and discard lid.

Sampling Ambient Water

1. Place funnel into holderwith graduations visiblethrough the viewingslot. Carefully removethe vented lid andcollect the hot watersample.

2. With funnel and holderresting on a firm, levelsurface, securely snap lid in place to prevent sampleloss. Remove funnel fromholder and transportsample to laboratory forfiltration. (Proceed withsteps 3-6 for ambient water.)
