All regionsMigration scheduling tips
For Exchange 2003 (offline move) migrations, we use a direct migration approach as SWRC isn’t supported.
Providing an additional weekday ensures that we have enough time for replication to complete. Due to factors like the total size of mailboxes, the network throughput received, and issues encountered over weekends on source servers and the network, replication sometimes goes on past the weekend and into weekdays (Monday onward).
We recommend scheduling Exchange SWRC events to start on Fridays and have respective cutover events scheduled starting mid-week (for example, Tuesdays) onward to ensure there’s enough time for the SWRC event to complete replication of all users and avoid any unnecessary rescheduling of cutover events or pending users at last moment
