APPLE

The Apple Computer was founded in Los Altos, California on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak. They were built by hand in Steve Jobs parent’s garage, and the Apple ‘I’ was first shown to the public at the Homebrew Computer Club. Steve Jobs at first was contemplating an Apple tablet computer that desire eventually manifested in the iPad and Apple had already produced a palm device with a touch screen, the Newton Message Pad.

INTELIn 1968, Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore were two very sad engineers working for the Fairchild Semiconductor Company. They didn’t like it there so they decided to quit and create their own company at a time when many Fairchild employees were leaving to create start-ups. People like Robert and Gordon were nicknamed the "Fairchildren". Robert Noyce typed himself a one page idea of what he wanted to do with his new business , and that was enough to convince San Francisco venture capitalist Art Rock to back Noyce's and Moore's new venture. Rock raised $2.5 million dollars in under less than 2 days by selling convertible debentures. Art Rock had become the first chairmen of Intel.

IBMIn July of 1980, IBM representatives met for the first time with Microsoft's Bill Gates to talk about writing an operating system for IBM's new hush-hush "personal" computer.IBM had been monitoring the growing personal computer market for some time. They had already made one dismal attempt to crack the market with their IBM 5100. At one point, IBM considered buying the fledgling game business Atari to commandeer Atari's early line of personal computers. However, IBM decided to stick with making their own personal computer line and developed a brand new system to go with.

INTERNETTim Berners-Lee was born in London, England and graduated in Physics from Oxford University in 1976. He is currently the Director of the World Wide Web Consortium, the group that sets technical stand. Tim Berners-Lee was the man leading the development of the World Wide Web, the defining of HTML used to create web pages, HTTP and URLs (Universal Resource Locators). All of those developments took place between 1989 and 1991.ards for the Web.

TABLETSMartin Cooper invented the cell (mobile) phone. He was the first one to make a call and speak on his mobile phone. Martin Cooper was born in December 26, 1928, wanted people to be able to carry their phones with them anywhere. While he was a project manager at Motorola in 1973, Martin set up a base station in New York with the first working prototype of a cellular telephone, the Motorola Dyna-Tac. After some initial testing in Washington for the F.C.C., Mr Cooper and Motorola took the phone technology to New York to show the public.
