SUMMER FUNKHANA - SOLON

On Sunday, August 19, we’ll be hosting a low-speed funkhana at the Solon Commons on Enterprise Parkway in Solon (off SR 43 – Aurora Rd) – site of the former Austin-Healey May car show. This will be a test of skill, more than time, where the driver and “co-conspirator” must negotiate a fixed course, all the while being required to perform somewhat

unnatural acts in the car and the surrounding terra firma (although we cannot guarantee the terra firma part) – all in fun. Food will be available for purchase on site from Villa Toscano and a registration form will be in the July Events Diary. Pre-registration is required as there will be no “day-of-event” registrations.

BRITISH CAR SHOW IN CLEVELAND – Saturday, July 28th

Planning is moving along well for this year’s COMBINED British Car Day in Hudson on Saturday, July 28. The show will be held at the Western Reserve Academy and this new location offers a large grassy show field and plenty of trees, has lots of room for cars, a swap-meet and vendors. And, the Western Reserve campus is just 1/4 mile from downtown Hudson where there are numerous shops and restaurants to please the non-tire kickers

in the family.

The registration forms were mailed in April and if you didn’t receive one and would like a copy, please let me know and can mail you a copy or send a PDF. WINTER CARIBBEAN CRUISE – ARE YOU INTERESTED?We have started planning our fourth winter cruise for the British Car Community and we already have 22 people on the list. The Cruise departs Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, February 2 with stops in Key West; Amber Cove, Dominican Republic; Grand Turk,

Turks and Caicos Island; and Half Moon Cay, Bahamas before returning back to Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, February 9. Please let me know if you’d like more information.
