What I have learnt about myself
What I have
learned about
myself
I love structure. It seems
across each test that I
completed that a theme of
structure keeps popping
up.
I never realized that
Musical-Rhythmic
intelligences would score
as moderately developed;
this is an area I can
further explore. I thought
this area would fall off
the charts for me.
Ive scored the lowest in
the thinker category in
the personality spectrum.
This shocked me as I would
have guessed the
adventurer to be the
lowest. Id like to focus on
increasing this score.
While scoring 21 in both
intrapersonal and
interpersonal intelligences,
Ive learnt that I enjoy
working on my own as
equally as I love to work
with people!
Writing, detail and organizatio
seems to be a dominate them
across all tests. Ive learned
through doing these tests that
these areas all reflect the
current way I work, but I had
never noticed it. This is a great
opportunity for me to hone
these skills and put them furth
into practice as I move forwar
with my career and education

Areas that would be of benefit for further personal development
I find that it would be useful for me to gain more
ability to problem solve. This could even be useful in
my planning, which will help me become stronger in
two categories!
This will give me the opportunity to "think outside
the box" giving way to more creative ways of
learning.
Thinker
(Personality
Sepectrum)
It would be of benefit for me to work on my
flexibility. Although it's great to be organized and
scheduled - with my lifestye I need to have room for
the occasional "hiccups". If I continued to develop
my skills further in this category, it would be a huge
benefit for me to use these flexibility skills in the
areas I already excel in.
Adventurer
(personality
Spectrum)
I was surprised that this was one of my lowest marks
in this test. Given that that the other tests indicate I
benefit from oragnization, struture and planning I
feel that adding in some traits from the visual spatial
intelligence would help me create better notes and
schedules by adding in charts, mind maps, color
coded notes and graphic organizers!

Strategies to help Maximize my Potential
Conclusion
Through this assignment Ive gained insight into myself in learning that I prefer environments that are
structured, formal, organized. I enjoy engaging with material that is presented through lectures, reading,
and writing. I work best in an environment at allows me to follow step-by step direction. Gripped with
this knowledge I know that I will best excel in a class room that is engaged in lectures, group discussions,
small groups and logical presentation teaching styles. The diagram above reflects class room
environments that would be suit my learning styles.
Request Feedback After Assignments
As an organizer, it would help for me to requestfeedback from my teachers on assignments so
that I can plan to adjust my work accordingly torecieve better marks in weaker areas.
Working in Small Groups
Because of my above mentioned learningstyles I feel that a small group would work inmy favor. I would be able to help organize the
flow of work in the group, and I could helpteach other people in the group the material I
already am familiar with.
Avoid Random presentations when possible
As an organized verbal linguistic learner, takingpart in a preentation that tackle topics in
random order and jumps around in thoughtsmay be difficult for me to grab all the
information that I should. When possible I
should avoid this type of learning environment.
Make use of handouts
Using handout I can create valuable chapteroutlines and create review notes as reference
points for myself. In addition I can highlight
information making it easily acessible as thecourse progresses.

learning abilities

That being said, working in a class room where the teaching styles follow random presentations or
logical presentations may be more of a challenge for me. Being that I am an organizer in the personality
spectrum I need a classroom that is planned, predictable and organized, I could see myself becoming a
little overwhelmed by a random presentations. Furthermore - in a classroom where logical
presentations are being made, I may have the same difficulty. In this type of learning environment
teacher make use of time and sequence, which could touch a few areas of my organization self, however
I feel that it would really stress me to use the thinker in me, pulling on theoretical, analytical and
scientific part of me, which is still underdeveloped at this point.
Putting forward the above mentioned strategies, in the right learning environments will allow me to
become a more successful student.
