FORM 3 Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

This question paper consists of three sections: Section A, Section B and Section C. Answer allsections. You are advised to spend 40 minutes on Section A, 30 minutes on Section B and 20

minutes on Section C.

Section B: Summary

Read the passage and complete the task.

The public should be educated on the importance of fire safety procedures. Proper

fire safety procedures. Proper fire safety procedures could safe many lives and properties.

However. We seldom think much about it until we are trapped I a burning building or

experience it personally. We should encourage the public to aware of the preventative

measures and safety tips regarding the fire hazard.

The fire department should visit school and teach the students about the basics of

fire prevention. Fire drills and workshops should be done constantly. Teaching them how to

maintain safe environments at work and home are essential. Fire prevention is to educate

everyone to take precautions to prevent fires and how to survive them. Other than that, the

fire drill should be carried out in office buildings, shopping malls and residential areas. One

of fire safety measures is that we can install the smoke detectors in every premises. Smokedetectors help to reduce the chances of death in a fire. Occupants of the burning building

will be alarmed and run immediately for safer ground. We should also be proactive by

having and planning for proper fire exits. Fire exits should not be blocked with any furniture,

boxes or flowerpots. Regular inspection on the building or premises should also be carried

out in order to detect any fire hazard materials or damaged electrical wiring. Electrical safety

should also be taken into consideration. The misuse of electrical appliances also should be

avoided too.

Fire extinguishers should be kept in every home, office and public premises. We can

also prevent fire by having proper storage and handling of flammable liquids like petrol and

gasoline. Flammable items should be kept away from children and locked all the time.

Everyone should be responsible and take part actively to prevent the fire incidents

SECTION B

FIRE PREVENTION IS IMPORTANT AND SOME PROACTIVE ACTIONS SUCH AS FIRE DRILLS AND

WORKSHOPS SHOULD BE DONE. BESIDE THAT, SMOKE DETECTORS SHOULD BE INSTALLED IN

EVERY OCCUPIED BUILDING. WE SHOULD ALSO HAVE PROPER PLANNING FOR FIRE EXITS IN CASE

OF EMERGENCY. ELECTRICAL APPLIENCES SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE TO PREVENT FIRE .

LASTLY, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS SHOULD BE KEPT IN EVERY BUILDING. (60 WORDS)

I think Robinson Crusoe is an interesting character in the novel Robinson Crusoe byDaniel Defoe. He is adventurous. He is only eighteen when he decides to run away from

home. He wants to follow his dreams to become a sailor. He is also a man of many talents.

He build himself two homes on deserted island. He makes his own clothes, shoes and even

an umbrella. He has endurance. He survives on the island for 28 years. He uses his

ingenuity to handle all the situations he has to face. One significant incident is the time he

saves a savage from being attack by cannibal
