MIDC is the largest and oldest industrial development
corporation in India. MIDC undertakes land
acquisition to make it available for industrial
development by providing infrastructure like water,
power, roads, telecommunication, gas, effluent
treatment plants, sewerage treatment plants and
hazardous waste management plants etc.
• MIDC is a special planning authority for industrial development in
Maharashtra.
• Investors one stop shop to avail all physical infrastructure at
your beck and call.
• Hassle-free clearances and permission for development.
• Customized package for mega projects.
• Land at affordable rates for 95 years on lease (ie. Transferable
and can be mortgaged or surrendered).Annuallease at Rs.l/- per plot.
• Single window for plot allotment (online application facility available).
• Industrial clusters are encouraged and ancillarisation gets a boost.

• Robust, reliable and impeccable quality water supply systems
across all industrial estates round the year and round the clock.
• 1430 MLD water supply operational. Provision of fire protection
services. 2613 Km of extensive road network.
• Providing Inland Container Depots (lCD's). and Logistic Parks.
• Privati sing airports at Nanded, Latur, Yavatmal, Osmanabad,
Sindhurdurg.
• Land allotted for 10 power projects for 3500 MW generation
including 5 Biomass based power project.
• Land being acquired for 2 power projects generating 2000 MW.
• MIDC plans to put up 2 power SEZ projects (1250) in PPP mode.
• Land allotted for wind power projects for 50 MW.
45 MW is being generated.
• Hydel power project of 5 MW to be executed.
• Industrial hazardous waste based 2 power projects to generate 12 MW.
• New gas distribution company (MIGTCL) formed for creating gas
distribution network in industrial areas. All major industrial areas
and SEZs will have gas distribution network in 3 years.
_ India's Leadership In Developing SEZs
• 21 SEZs (7341 hectares) out of 93 SEZs in Maharashtra are being developed by MIDC.
• 5 5EZs (7000 hectares) are being developed in joint venture with private partners.
• 9 SEZs (341 hectares) being developed in MIDC area by private developers.
• Expected investment on infrastructure and in industries in SEZs is US $22 Bn.
• 5.5 Mn. expected employment. SEZs will be fully developed in 3-5 years.
• Developed specialized industrial parks for sunrise sectors like IT, Biotechnology,
Floriculture, Agro processing, Textiles (Apparel and Garment), Grape Wine processing,
Gems & Jewellery, Multi-service facilitation, Centres like Banking, Postal,
Lodging Boarding, Education, Hospital, Police Station ete.

_ Environmental Friendly Industrial Areas
• Environment Monitoring Committee of Supreme Court of India (India's apex court) has adjudged Maharashtra
as the cleanest and best state in Environmental Management.
• MIDC has been awarded the prestigious international environmental leadership award of United States
Environmental Agency for its excellent contribution in the field of environment protection with sustainable
development of industrial estates.
• MIDC is pioneer organization for setting up effluent treatment plants and scientific management of
hazardous waste in the country.
• 13 chemical industrial estates provided with effluent treatment plants equipped with modern technology and
managed by participation from industries.
• Aggressive implementation of environmental infrastructure projects with focus
on recycling/reuse of waste water of water treatment plants, rainwater harvesting and afforestation in MIDC
industrial areas.
