AERIAL VIEW LOOKING TOWARDS FOOD HALL AND PERFORMANCE THEATER
Recently cited as one of the 12 largest commercial real estate projects in the nation, MidCity is a nationally acclaimed mixed-use district located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley’s high-tech employment center and at the epicenter of the 13-County regional trade area with more than a 1.1 million population. MidCity District is at the center of the University Drive Corridor, at the gateway to Redstone Arsenal and the Cummings Research Park with a combined workforce that exceeds 100,000.
MidCity offers a balanced mix of uses connected by urban plazas, green spaces, and walkable streets adjacent to a 40-acre public park. When completed, the district will include 350,000 square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment space; approximately 350,000 square feet of high-tech Class-A office space; up to 1,400 residential units; and approximately 650 hotel rooms. An 8,500 capacity amphitheater ($55 Million Design) will provide destination travel and daily traffic at MidCity.
To date, the northern side of the Park, Topgolf, High Point Climbing, Dave & Busters, and The Camp are completed and open. Construction of over 100,000 square feet of retail is underway and includes the future sites of REI, Walburger’s, a chef-inspired BBQ restaurant, and more. Additional projects breaking ground include a 300-unit Class A residential mixed-use development, a 250-unit Class A Independent Living project, two boutique hotels, a “best-in-class” specialty grocer, and 70,000 square feet of additional retail shops and restaurants.
