Migrate from BIMsight to BIMcollab ZOOM As Tekla BIMsight reaches its end of life, this would be a great time to give BIMcollab ZOOM a try.
Follow these steps to be up and running in no time!
Step 1: Get BIMcollab ZOOM
Go to the BIMcollab website, download the BIMcollab ZOOM installer and run it.
Step 2: Activate
Start BIMcollab ZOOM and use your BIMcollab activation key to activate. Don’t have a key or can’t find it? You can request your personal activation key here.
Step 3: Save your BIMsight project
Open Tekla BIMsight and use the ‘Save as a Package’ button to export your project.
Step 4: Convert your project
Users who have BIMcollab ZOOM version 3.2 or higher can import the package directly by starting ZOOM and going to File > Import > Tekla BIMsight package.
Users who are using earlier versions of ZOOM can download the TPB converter here and use it to convert your project into a BIMcollab ZOOM project.

Once converted you can immediately open the project in ZOOM and:
- navigate through your model
- create and use Smart Views to validate and classify your model
Step 5: Connect to a BIMcollab Cloud
In BIMcollab ZOOM click on “Connect to BIMcollab” to connect to any BIMcollab Cloud.
You can now:
- review and comment on issues
- create new issues
