High quality industry inspired research forms the cornerstone of the
Doctoral fellow program of NITIE. Having started way back in 1984,
the program has adequately reshaped itself with the demands of
changing times. The program offers an optimal amalgamation of
relevant mandatory coursework for skill acquisition, multiple
industry/field visits to facilitate experimental and empirical studies,
regular presentations to fine tune the research outcomes. This is
reflected in a steady rise in the number of high quality fellow
awardees who have gone on to serve the nation in academics,
research and industry. We invite you to join the unique research
ecosystem of NITIE and prove their worthy successor.
Prof. Padmanav Acharya Admissions Coordinator
Welcome to the Fellow programme of NITIE. As a prospective student, I
welcome you, and congratulate you for embarking on a exciting and stimulating
phase of your development. The ever changing business environment poses
new set of challenges and there is always a need to question the existing body
of knowledge for it’s suitability & relevance in this changing environment. The
existing theories, models need to be understood in the new context. There is
need for professionals both in academia and industry who will question the
existing theories and apply different research tools to expand the frontiers of
knowledge. As a student of our fellow program you will research in the
interdisciplinary areas of Industrial Engineering and Management and advance
